Seven Reasons to Reject Suicide

1. Suicide rejects God’s offer of inner peace.
   The verse to fight this: Philippians 4:6, “Do not be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
2. Suicide rejects God’s sovereignty over the length of your life.
   The verse to fight this: Psalm 139:16, “Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there were none of them.”
3. Suicide rejects God being Lord over your life.
   The verse to fight this: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.”
4. Suicide rejects God’s command for you not to murder.
   The verse to fight this: Exodus 20:13, “Thou shalt not kill.”
5. Suicide rejects God’s ability to heal your heart that He wants to heal.
   The verse to fight this: Jeremiah 17:14, “Heal me, oh Lord, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise.”
6. Suicide rejects God’s plan to give you hope.
   The verse to fight this: Psalm 130:5, “I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.”
7. Suicide rejects God’s power within you to make you Godly.
   You’re prematurely ending your life before you see the power of what He is able to do!
   The verse to fight this: Matthew 19:26, “With God all things are possible”
